Start with how you serve
A café counter, a busy table-service restaurant and a takeaway business need different order journeys. List the moments your team handles each day: another round at a table, a special request, a kitchen change, a split bill and a pickup order. Ask to see those moments in a demo.
Compare the full scope
A monthly subscription is only one part of a POS rollout. Compare included registers, kitchen displays, ordering channels, stock modules, setup, training, hardware and payment-provider charges. Confirm applicable GST and the total payable in the written quote.
Check Australian integrations directly
If you need an EFTPOS terminal, delivery marketplace or accounting connection, name the exact provider and workflow. Confirm compatibility, ongoing provider costs and what happens if a connection is unavailable. A general integration claim is not enough.
Plan the changeover
Decide who prepares the menu and catalogue, which devices stay, how staff train and what happens during the first service. A small pilot with representative orders can expose practical problems before the full rollout.
